In the checklist of family class immigration, the Beijing Embassy requests Huko to be
sent. Huko is avery important ID in China, is notarial copy acceptable or it has to
be original? Another things is that my little brother's huko is not with my parents'
because he is enrolled in a university in other province. Does my brother also need
to send the original Huko or only my father who is the head of the household needs to
send his and my mothers. Any advices are very greatly appreciated.

Hi:

You can send a notorized translated copy of the Huko with your application. Your
brother should send a copy of his own Huko.

Yours truly, Ingrid Y. Chen, B.A., LL.B.

However, you have to hand out the original one when the applicant attends the interview.

Hi pcirg,

Send ORIGINAL of all documents. If your documents are not in English or French, send
a notarized (certified) translation with the ORIGINALS. Don't worry about the
original documents, the Beijing Embassy will return you after verification.

ORIGINAL 'hukou' of the head of your household. For details, check out the following
URL & read the Appendix 'C' i.e. Checklist:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdffiles/kits%2Dint/e33155.pdf

Hope this helps. Neil
