I came to the US initially on a L1 and in 2 years converted to H1B. My six year
period is coming up in around 3 months. Last year, around this time, I applied for
my Green Card thru my company lawyer. As luck would have it she never filed it !
Anyway, when my recruiter filed for my visa extension, the expiry date on it says
2003. I know about the six year period limit on the visa, but how is it that INS
does not keep a track of it. Is there any hope for me or do I have to leave the
country for a year ?

Thanks a lot ! Kevin.
