120 day question
Hi all
Just a quick one . . . we are in the process of gatheing our paper chase and it asks for work history - is this for the last 10 years or from the age of 18 as some of the companies I worked for have since folded.
Many thanks
Graham

Re: 120 day question
Hi we provided job details for the main applicant in FSW 1 application over last 10 years and all previous addresses from age of 18. Good luck!

Re: 120 day question
Hi gjack,
Many thanks for that - just to clarify, does my wife also need to send proof of work history or just me as the main applicant?
On the Visa Specific Instructions it states 'For you, your spouse or common-law partner provide' (then lists the documents required) . . .

Re: 120 day question
Its you as main applicant who needs to send all documents as proof that you meet the NOC requirements under whatever category you are applying...lots of stuff to collect, so good luck!

Re: 120 day question
We applied last year and there was no mention of this, can't see why your spouse/partener's occupation should matter to them as they aren't applying unless they are giving them points for it!!

imm7023e (the location specific instructions) did get an update in June 2010
This is the change (as well as some other changes/additions)
Section 7
Work Experience. For you and your spouse or common law partner...
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/guides/E37023.pdf
Hope that helps

Re: 120 day question
Many thanks for all your replies - best we'g both better get busy!!
As per section 7 'Work Experience', it doesn't state how far back to go - gjack kindly advised it is only for the last 10 years - is this correct before we start to dig??!!!

Re: 120 day question
'notorized employment contracts from your present and past employers, .......'
One would guess this should tie up with the list given in imm0008 1e section 11
Hell, I'm only giving them a reference from partners last employer since there are no points to be gained. I'll put a cover not in to say I tried and failed (which is true).
Good luck!

Re: 120 day question
Thanks spaceace!
Gonna try to get as much info as I can for my last two jobs (covering 12 years) - as Graham stated, anything previous to that could be tricky as companies have since gone into liquidation/takeovers So am hoping that they only require info for the last 10 years!!!

Re: 120 day question
Well if they have gone bust, then just tell them, there's nothing you can do about it.
However, if it was for the principal applicant and it was needed to prove the qualifying work experience category, THEN I would sweat....but since it kinda doesn't matter in terms of points, then so what ?
I could be wrong tho....this IS my 2nd time of applying LMAO
Good luck
