Re: Weather

Yesterday evening I was watching one of my nephews football training in Malyi when some drops of rain started falling but my brother-in-law wasn't bothered which I suspect was because he knew it wasn't going to last. It didn't so after the football training we went for a pint ... sorry half litre of beer or two! No idea if it rained or thundered last night because as I've mentioned here before I'm as deaf as a lamp-post which is handy on these occasions so I can sleep without being distrubed! ;-)

Well we had our downpour and so saves watering for today. Cool and very overcast now, only downside of this weather is that trolls prefer to stay indoors and lurk :banghead:
Nevermind, brightens up again in a couple of days and I'm sure folk will find something better to do with their time:thumbsup:

Has anyone else noticed that when we have a wet day the number of thread contributions seems to rise considerably?

Not really, not much happening for the last few days. Perhaps everyone has lost power or internet in the thunder storms. My internet kept dropping out earlier so I missed several chunks of my Sherlock Holmes play on the radio.

Storm took our internet out and I'm guessing quite a few others as the usual next day service from T-Home ended up taking three days and a lot of chasing up!

Ouch  How annoying! I woke up to my dog jumping on my head (going crazy as she hates storms) and a poorly husband

No, just half a certain persons, neighbours house, the rest of which will now "hopefully" be condemned and marked for demolishing ;)

Now it is cooler I take the dog with me when I go shopping, as he suffers from separation anxiety if I leave him at home. I go early in the morning and we stop for his walk on the way in to town. Today we walked from the main road to a small village called Liszó. We walked in on the road but we came back on the pavement. This proved to be a mistake! There must have been flooding, as the pavement was coated in about 2 inches of very sticky, slippery mud! I nearly fell over a few times and my shoes and trousers got caked with mud. This was not good as my first port of call in town was the posh Chevrolet showroom, to get a spare part for the car.

Re: Weather

You should take him a walk into the forest at Liszo, just on the left as you come into the village as there are apparently lots of ceps there - a lady who lives up the top road in the village said they are some of the best found in the area.

Re: Weather

Trouble is, I don't know what ceps look like. Perhaps I should take him sniffing for truffles and he could be Charlie the Trufflehound!
