Default Trams

Here in Miskolc it seems there's an accident between a tram and car every week! Are driving standards hitting an all time low? Only last week an idiot tried to overtake an oncoming car and missed my car by a few inches!
My wife has mentioned there's been an increase in trains hitting cars at railway crossings because the driver had no patience to wait for the all clear!

Default Re: Trams

A good percentage of the car/tram accidents in Miskolc occur at the junction of Széchenyi ut and Corvin ut in the city centre. Cars coming into town driving too fast down Corvin ut fail to stop at or overshoot the traffic lights. Last year two Police cars were also hit by trams at this junction.

I drove into Miskolc yesterday and people were driving very carefully, possibly because the Police have given notice they'll be stopping cars to check papers and giving breathalyser tests. On the back road both to and from Miskolc virtually no one was travelling over 80kms and hour.
