Everything's gone here. We never had more than 15cm at any given time this year so we've been really lucky :)
There's a dusting forecast on Tuesday evening but I can't imagine it will amount to much. We still have a few inches to a foot (where it drifted) in the garden but it is beginning to melt. The drifts on the country roads are quite stunning, wish I had my camera with me. The last heavy fall was accompanied by strong winds and so the drifts are not only high but sculptured by the wind making some quite stunning structures. |

This snow can be very difficult for older people who feel isolated as they fear going out & about. Role on spring time. We are in UK but for some reason my mobile phone will give me weather forecasts based on a small village Nemesvita, just down the road from our village in Hungary. Shows snow on Friday & Saturday & rain on Sunday & Monday – with the temperature going to 8 on Monday. Would be great if it all gets washed away! |

Re: Snow - will it ever stop!
We have had almost no snow this year, in fact we have not even had a winter, certainly in comparison to the brutality of last February!

Re: Snow - will it ever stop!
We had a dusting again last night but bright sunshine today so it's pretty much gone now.
Some snow forecast on Friday but then rain Monday and Tuesday so it's not going to hang around. Then temps into double figures by March :D |

"Time to get the seeds starting...."
Unfortunately not for us :( We're in the process of trying to borrow some money to buy our next house. The problem is that if/when we get it sorted it'll be too late to plant at the new property and we don't want to plant here as we're trying to sell  So it looks like we'll have to wait until next year to start growing our own :( |

What is important is the location of the house, anything else can be changed by spending some money or doing some work. End of thread creeeep - or new thread. |

What about sowing some plugs which won't need planting out for a few months yet? Or do a few tomato plants in grow bags so you can take them with you?

Been snowing here for a couple of hours now and already we have over an inch lying...Expect about 6 inches by the morning - and it isn't wet so might hang around for a few days! Had enough of it now.
