Seasoned 13-15,000/m3 (usually a bit over as done by eye) cut into 30-40cm pieces which we then split with the axe. Unseasoned if bought in the summer 6-10,000/m3 though usually larger pieces

I know a place in Tapolca who sharpens TCT blades, He did mine which is 50cm dia.

we are in Marcali and the price depends on where you go not sure what size but the back of a pick up truck full is about 42000 Hufs delivered we have also paid 20000 for a less amount that we collected ourselves in the van

..back to snow: after a couple of days of cold but dry weather, it's snowing again. A couple of inches tonight so far and it's due to continue overnight and tomorrow. Still can't imagine the 40-60cm others have had though.

In a beautiful little village near Zalakaros - it's a true hidden gem ;) We buy from the locals and though you need to check the wood is seasoned, it's cheaper than elsewhere, especially when you add on delivery.

We had a couple of inches today (still have 40cm on the ground) but the forecast looks promising from tonight onwards. Looks like it might be moving North East wards - enjoy:p

We had about 4 inches last night and a dusting this afternoon. It's supposed to snow overnight but hopefully nothing like you've got. I hate driving over the hills and twisty mountain roads in the snow after spinning my wife's car twice last year, crashing it once :o

There you go Paul, that's the price of living in a pretty part of Hungary, I just knew there must be some advantage to living on the boring flat bit!

Tis a price worth paying though! Not that I thought that on Sunday, had a meeting to go to and thought the roads were clear until I reached the start of the village where there was still inches of snow on top of a thick sheet of ice. Probably wouldn't have bothered anybody else but after a scary experience driving in the campsie fells many years ago, I am terrified of skidding. I sat there for ten minutes, debating whether to go home or not :o

Fortunately Sirok has been spared the latest dustings so the roads haven't been too bad. I must admit that this is the mildest winter we've experienced so far though. I'm really hoping that we can get through without it getting any worse. I don't like driving in the snow/ice although all my jobs since the age of 20 have involved a LOT of driving but I REALLY don't like the thought of my wife driving to and from work in this weather
