The embassy maintains a list of English speaking lawyers, most are probably Budapest based but there might be some outside of the city.

You need a notary public. There are several in Miskolc and presumably some will speak English.

Just type in "Notary Public in Miskolc" and it will come up as list. For example ....

Agi's sister has put us in touch with someone. I asked this question here to make sure my understanding of what needs to be done is correct.

You need an English speaking lawyer who fully understands the documents they are signing.

Are you sure that you need a public notary? Our lawyer has always done all this stuff for us, without issue.

No, she's not a notary public, I know because she told us to lodge our wills with one that she knows.

Feeling frustrated. A family member offered to help via a friend who is an English language teacher. Her husband is a notary public and can speak English to an extent but I can't get any information about his level of proficiency of English language. So it's back to square one! So I will look up the link by Sachina.
Not too happy as not first time the "help" offered doesn't match what I need.

Most of them have websites where you can email for an appointment. I've found an English speaking doctor, dentist and optician, plus various other people by sending an email written in English. The ones who speak English are usually the only ones who reply!
