What is it about pillows in this country? I have a few extra visitors coming so set out to buy pillows. It is just a nightmare, they are either too small or too big and as for being able to buy pillowcases. Even in Tesco no pillowcases on sale. The nice pillows are very expensive too.
They don't tell you about that problem when you move here so for all you prospective expats buy pillows and pillowcases before you come.

Actually I got my last visitor from UK to bring me some extra pillowcases to fit my UK size pillows. I have ones that came with double duvet covers I bought but they are for the large Hungarian pillows. As it happens I dug them out of the blanket chest this afternoon to take to the house in Croatia. The previous owner left a bed and a set of bedding at the house, including one of the oversize pillows. Up to now I've been using the bed with my own bedding and the quilt she left has served as a comfy bed for the dog. I will use the cases that came with the duvet covers with the big pillow for myself and it will free up the UK pillows for a fold up guest bed I just took down there.

Haha, don't you just love the "huge" pillows that you can buy but struggle to find cases for unless they are part of a set! Might be worth investing in a sewing machine

This means when I eventually move to Hungary we will have to chuck out our bed .... otherwise we'd be spending all our time over there looking for sheets, duvet covers and pillow cases the right size!
