We are looking for a certificate Komuves to knock down the wall from the old house and connect it to the new extension. We bought all the materials.

Does anyone know a Komuves around the area?

Brick Mason...In some parts of Hungary, including mine are far and few between. If you can find one, are usually booked months or sometimes years in advance. Seems like most of the good ones are in the Budapest or Balaton area where the wages are higher. If you find one ask to see some of their recent work. If you are expecting UK standard masonry work you will likely be disappointed by most of them In my region I would not call any of the work I have seen being done masonry work I would instead call them brick stackers who daub and stack the bricks. This is likely the reason most structures in Hungary are rendered. (plastered inside and out).

We had some good but also some really bad experiences there.

IMO it is the other way around. Because houses are traditionally rendered here there are no facing bricks so the need to spend the time making a wall attractive with nice pointing is not there.
So bricks are untidy because they will be rendered not rendering is done because bricks are untidy.
