Default Hungarian Cleaning Materials

When in Hungary you might not be able to find UK brand name cleaners so easily, especially if you are living in the countryside. Yes, you could travel to the nearest village/town or city when doing a "big shop", but even then UK brand name cleaners might not be available or might be too expensive whereby you are forced to use Hungarian brand name cleaners. Here are some of the cleaners I use - What do you use and/or recommend?

"Well Done" products on the whole are very good. I use bicarb of soda readily available with a good glug of 20% vinegar to keep the bathroom drains clear.

A good weed killer is vinegar/soda and some washing liquid.

The 20% vinegar is good and really cheap (less than 200 HUF/liter) - in Germany it's sold as "Essigessenz" in special bottles for more than 2€ ...

And we use it for all kinds of work, like decalcifying (is that the correct expression?) coffee machines, pots and similar stuff - much cheaper and more efficient than the special tablets they sell!

And my wife says that after it's done its work you can mix it with water and then put it on the pines and Thuja trees as fertiliser ...

Also Hipo is cheap in Hungary - comes in black plastic bottles ...

Can anyone suggest a method of removing orange iron stains from the bathroom suite? My water supply contains iron particles and despite fitting a charcoal filter I still get staining. I've tried the 20% vinegar, the hypo bleach and some stuff called Bref 6x Effect but nothing has worked so far. The supply is from a borehole some distance from my property so it could be coming along rusty iron pipes.

My HU girlfriend said she once tried Sósav, a hidrogén-klorid (HCl) - hydrogen chloride (HCl) - but does not recommend it as it was so strong it also took off the enamel from her bath and sink. She also pointed out that even if used (not recommended) the stains will eventually return, especially if the water already contains rust, etc.
