I thought I would post this here as there are no doubt people who are thinking of moving to Hungary but would like to sample the lifestyle before committing themselves. I am in the process of moving from Hungary to Croatia and have made an arrangement with another forum member to rent out my house in Hungary. I already have the house in Croatia and am currently spending part of each week in each property. Unfortunately, my tenant has had to postpone her move, probably until September. This means I have 2 lots of gardening to do to keep both properties tidy. I wondered if anyone would be interested in coming to Hungary for a few weeks over the Summer and staying in my house as house-sitters? You would be getting free accommodation in exchange for a couple of hours a day (weather permitting) gardening work.

I am a teacher in the UK and will have 4-5 weeks off in the summer . I am originally from Hungary but now a British Citizen as I have lived here for 22 years now, but planning to move back there in a few years time. I read your post with interest and as I have a big garden myself and was planning to spend some time in Hungary in the summer With my 16 years old son , I thought why not find out about your offer. As far I my garden concerned I can ask my lodger and a friend to look after it why I am away . Let me know whereabout is your house is and ask me anything you would need to know. Regards
