Hay Fever
Anyone out there who suffers from hay fever? Anyone know of the best relief from hay fever here in Hungary? I'd prefer the non-drowsy nasal spray type but am prepared to try anything.

I don't know about any nasal spray but I can recommend Allegra tablets. I have real bad allergies and it works very well for me. You can find it in most chemist shops.

Re: Hay Fever
My hay fever varies from year to year. Sometimes people I know who have hay fever are really suffering but I'm fine! So ... will pop down chemist to get Allegra. It's probably all the grass cutting going on in the neighbourhood which has heightened my hay fever.

A 30 day supply of Allegra 120mg (30) tablets are about 3000-3500 forints depending upon where you get them. They also offer them in Allegra Forte which are even stronger not sure of the price.

Hmm, quite expensive really. Might just be putting up and shutting as per usual then.

As bad as my allergies are, I would pay twice that if I had too, between my sneezing, irratated eyes and constant coughing from nasal drainage it is worth getting the relief. but too each his own. I usually have to take them about 3 months out of the year. Try them for a month and decide.

I have had hay fever since being a few years old. I find the best is Nasonex (mometasone furoate) nasal spray. Here in Canada and the US, pharmacies often sell their own version. I was sneezing and coughing like crazy a few weeks ago, after a couple of days using the spray I was OK. The next best thing IMO, is Claritin (Loratadine) 24 hr non drowsy tablets. Again, pharmacies often sell their own brand.
