Happy Holidays in this heatwave!
I wish everybody happy holidays in these crazy times!
Reading about the unbelievable cold in other parts of the world I feel great about the heat wave here near the Danube - 9 to 11 degrees (Celsius, not Fahrenheit) are expected today and tomorrow so people will not have to heat and burn so much coal and wood and ...

Oops .... I'm late to the party!
Merry Christmas and Happy holidays.
This was our third Christmas since moving to Hungary. Certainly been the warmest. I think it was around 6 degrees centigrades. Usually Christmas eve we go to sister-in-law house to help decorate the Christmas tree, open presents, have a drink and sit down meal. This time we stayed at home. On Christmas day went to sister-in-law house. The brother-in-law always makes fish soup. After that stuffed cabbage. I prefer my Hungarian wife's stuffed cabbage. We walked to sister-in-law house. It was nice as we saw ex-neighbours from when we lived at mother-in-law house and wished them a boldog karácsonyt.
Boxing day sister-in-law, husband, 2 nephews, plus one girlfriend came to ours. My Hungarian cooked traditional UK Christmas dinner without the sprouts! Doh! Never mind. We forgot Christmas crackers. Hopefully, next time we will remember.

You know that we will likely pay for the warm weather with abnormallly cold days or record snowfall this winter.

Hahaha .... one reason I'm not alerted to postings on here is because I was receiving too many alerts to posts on various social media sites and emails I had to switch off the alert notifications. One person was sending me 8-10 FB messages every day! Another up to 5 .... as early as 8am ... mainly trying to influence me to buy stuff for our house they recommended. My Hungarian wife was getting similar!

I had mates in UK in my early 20's ..... the Banter was brutal ..... walking home from a pub out in the countryside one of them decided to pick me up and chuck me down a ditch. My first priority was my glasses. Found them, picked myself up, smoothed off the grass then carried on walking home with my mates. Next day we just laughed it off. End of.
