My regular Nemzeti dohánybolt, which is usually open 24/7, announced last week that they would be shutting early evening, as they did in early March, even before the regs demanded it. Actually I was quite impressed with them, theirs was the first business I saw to set up plastic screens.

While we cannot / must not be complacent I think we can take some consolation from the following published figures for deaths, as follows -
Hungary: 254 / million. EU27/EEA: 432 / million. UK: 732 / million. |

Where did you get your statistics from? Looking at BBC news website it's reporting Hungary's covid 19 deaths are worse than UK!

I don't trust the UK figures as: 1 - the government can't count properly 3 - they fudge the numbers to back up their policy decisions 4 - Boris is well known to "misspeak" and tell untruths (blatantly lie some might say) |

Gallows humour:
My wife just told me that in spite of the curfew you can go out at night - if your dog needs to do his/her business ... Fun fact: The Covid vaccine produced by Pfizer was developed by German company BioNTech which was founded by two docs/medicine profs - a Turkish couple who still manage it. Those two are children of Turkish families who came to Germany as "guest workers" - the husband's father worked at Ford in Cologne. |

Oh - and you have to stay within 500m from your residence. |

On the issue of taking dog/s for walk after 8pm it's so dark in our village it's too dangerous. Street lights are dreadful here but then I'm grateful I don't have a streetlight right outside my bedroom window! |
