Default Carpets

We are thinking of having some carpets laid (not rugs). We have been to an outlet in Kesthely (Diego) but are there any other carpet shops around SW Balaton area. Also do you know how they fit them here, do they use carpet grabbers a in UK. Cheers

Of all the houses in Hungary I have been one I haven't seen a single one with fitted carpets. Only rugs on tiled/wooden/laminated floors. You'll be bucking the trend.

My small junk room / single bedroom had an almost fitted carpet! It was about 4" too big in every direction so the floor and the bottom of the walls were carpeted. The carpet is still there until I get something better but I have trimmed it down a bit.

Well..... Diego sell carpets 4 mtrs wide from approx. £6/sq mtr to approx £30/sq mtr so there must be a market for rebels (individuals) and I do dare say you could find them in Budapest . Each to their own FenTiger

Alkin is an unknown quantity at this point

Also at Keszthely is Szőnyegország, where we bought carpet off-the-roll some years ago (which we fitted ourselves). There was a wider selection than Diego.

they are at:

Keszthely-Gyenesdiás,
Kereskedők u. 10.

(off Tapolcai u. near McDonalds)
