Default Best method of registering for an online worker? (currently a sole entrepreneur)

Hi everyone.

I'm a British citizen currently living in the UK and working exclusively online as a maths tutor. I'm registered as self employed as a sole entrepreneur and have several years of self assessments where in the UK.

I'd like to move to Hungary this summer, for maybe a year or two, and continue my online work. I've started to look into how I will register myself in Hungary and continue to work as I am currently, but I'm pretty confused about where to even start.

As I understand, there is a KATA system of self employment, but also this digital nomad 'white card'. In my given situation, would I be able to register for the white card and continue filing my UK self assessments?

Any point in the right direction would be really appreciated. Thanks!

Do a bit of searching on the net.
https://andysto.com/everything-you-n...igital-nomads/
and
https://helpers.hu/residence-permit/...ds-in-hungary/
and
https://helpersfinance.hu/paying-tax...er-in-hungary/
one item from a list was -
You must have a monthly income equal or more than EUR 2,000
But it does sound like a white card could/should be the way to go

The KATA system is designed to cater for self employed workers gaining work in and from Hungary.

I recall reading something recently that the KATA system is under threat.

Apparently, too many employers are using it as a loophole to employ people but not pay as much contributions.
We use KATA as self employed teachers so I hope it doesn't affect us as the system is simple and works well.

The KATA system has limits about the amount of income from any one employer/contractor and I suspect that it is this element that is being exploited or ignored to get employed people on to self employed to reduce the payroll taxes. I would expect this aspect to either be tightened up or reduced or both.
