Default Adding a name to the land registry

I want to add a name to the land registry for our house. Anyone know if this is easy to do and what the process might be?
Thanks

Anything to do with property or land now (and for some time) needs a proper contract drawn up by a solicitor, the days of agreements written at home are gone. So what ever the reason to add the name, be it right of use or partial ownership or other encumbrance then you will need to go to a solicitor to get a contract drawn up. Once done this can be presented to Land Office (with the appropriate fee) and the due process will happen. The subject matter of the contract will be entered and I think it will be final after 30 days (at least it is so for land) after which all of the owners and /or rights holders should be sent a new registration document showing the updated details. If you are adding the name as a joint owner then the %age of ownership will need to be stated in the contract similarly the amount any charge to which the property may be newly subject needs to be declared, but the solicitor will be able to do a proper contract with all the right catch phrases in the right places.
