Default Aussie Dollar - 2.67!

All,

For those users of Britishexpats who are unaware Sterling is currently trading at AUD2.67 it's best level since March 2003!

Anyone in the process of making the big move to Australia might want to contact a currency broker to take advantage of the current rate spike or understand their currency options in more detail.

Hope this helps.

how come on your website it says 2.35? Is the 2.67 just the interbank rate or what your customers would get?

I don't have an Oz bank account yet but would be VERY keen to get locked into this rate. Is there a way I can sign up now and have the rate locked to what it is today ready to change the money in the next month or two?

I know that currency converters and interbank rates say 2.67 but was wondering whether that is the rate HiFx give you as they are advertising 2.35?

Just how high do people think the rate will go. I lost out big time but that's life and if you need the money you have to exchange at that time.

Does that mean I can't sue you for the missing 'm' in the aussie address?

Just off the phone from HiFx and they offered 2.4079, admittedly I am only buying holiday money so the exchange isn't the best but M&S offer more!

You won't be able to use Ozforex until next week as they are closed for new clients

Transferred this morning at 2.51, received a confirmation call (from Oz) within 5 minutes. All looks to have gone through smoothly. No complaints so far!
