I was wondering how many of you, resident some of you for lengthy periods in Goa, receive important mail securely in Goa sent from UK?.I am thinking of bank credit cards, perhaps cheque books, etc. Do you give instructions to your UK banks to send such mail by courier and pay the cost yourselves? I should be interested to know. I am planning to spend quite long periods in India, but not necessarily Goa, from now on for family reasons, dependent on visa.

We had important Bank "things" sent to our Goa address by courier and as we were not in he went away and never left us a note to say they had called so we had no idea until a couple of days later a neighbour told us they had been.
We got in touch with the bank who told us they did not know the envelope had not been delivered - they never did find it so they had to change all our numbers and everything at the bank.
Another neighbour always gives the postman a few rupees to make sure he makes sure her mail is delivered.

For credit/bank cards we try to get them sorted before we leave.
