You are trying to put words into my mouth Dreadsoc that reflect neither my thoughts nor views:
1) I am absolutely entitled to comment on any subject I wish and your view that I am in no position to comment is just that - your view.
2) The reason I haven't bought is thanks to this forum - I posted a question here should I buy and the response was unanimous; NO.
3) I have at no time been in any way disparaging to those that have purchased - Blind Fools? Your words, certainly not mine!

I still go because I love the place, it gets into your blood - even after all the shit that has been thrown at us, and as I said I am going to enjoy my next six month's holidays whatever.
I don't get ripped off now, as I know the prices, if they just try to rip me off once, I will not use their shop/services/resturant again.
There are so many good Goans, we have many, many friends there from all walks of life.
Quite so Noni! Which is why I live here. I just get so p****d of with people slagging the place off , about the corruption etc which is why I posted what I did yesterday. You get a lot of respect from local trades people from living here all year round. Even with the current visa situation- I have no choice- Goa is my only home I look at the 2 months out thing as a way of seeing other places in the world. I have many Goan friends and many friends in Goa but very few in the UK. I find the Uk a very hostile formidable place now and intend to spend as little time there as possible!J

Totally agree with you. We only use local shops, Newtons is for Ice and for a cool off with their A/c. Locals are very friendly and give us good service.
Once the people in the market know we know the prices they don't rip us off either.
You must agree that there is so much corruption around you in Goa. You were lucky not to have been caught up in the property fiasco.

Family and friends in the UK play a far more important part in our lives
From NONI
This is what we have realised - we had fair weather friends in Goa as well as good friends and know our real friends in UK are far more important to us than anyone else,
We have had lovely friends in Goa like Lalit ( the best ) Noni - Chilli from HT and Dragon from TA plus others from these sites - thanks to all of you and it will be sad we will not see you next season but who knows what will happen in life.

Just a question - why is UK so "formidable" - what did it do to you whilst you were there? Will you elaborate on this - give examples.
another quote from you -
I have no choice- Goa is my only home I look at the 2 months out thing as a way of seeing other places in the world.
How many of these "other places" have you been to - are they good places to live rather than Goa?

Here we go again!!!!
I do not wish to elaborate.!!!
If I did find somewhere else in the world to live I certainly wouldn`t be putting it on here.
You get on with your life and let me get on with mine.
