Hi All,

Don't forget to print off and fill in the Health Screening Card and take it with you when travelling to Goa.............and for goodness sake don't sneeze or cough going through Dabolim or you'll end up shot and threw on the rubbish pile.

You can print off the Health Screening Card on the Link below.

Downloaded the Visa Application form - can I just fill it in, and send the money, together with the form, passport, photo's and documents to Hayes BY post and then they will return?
Do you still have to pay the £8+ fee.

Can't see anymore have slept with contact lenses in and have been trying to
remove it for half an hour. Lucky I am a touch typist.

So my dear friends HELP.

You do not have to do it on line, you can do it by hand and post it with your passport and photo's to Hayes but you still have to pay the fee and you have to buy two special delivery envelopes (you can put two forms etc in one envelope) one to send the documents in and one to enclose for the documents to be returned to you in. this adds another few pounds to the cost.
I am going up to Victoria with mine as I am actually taking our two plus our families five and our friends four so the cost of two trips to London is less than the postage. Good luck.

Have spent yesterday filling in the visa form - why can't we have a five year one, it would save all the hassle, and with the commonwealth games going to India, would save them work in the visa office. I expect that is to intelligent for them.

Re: Visa stuff

Filled in our visa forms on line yesterday and paid on line. It is so much better and easier than it was last year. I am going up to Victoria on Tuesday to hand them over, I made the appointment on line also but it does not let you choose a time and I will not be there for 9.30 which they gave me but that should not be a problem as lots of people get the same time and you just have to wait anyway. I will then have the rest of the day to shop! Another shopping trip when I go to collect them.

Re: Visa stuff

Needed to share this with you, my Oh applied for an extension to his 5 year visa in April, his visa expired in June, he was told to wait till he had heard from the FRO, last friday received a letter from an FRO officer at 5.30pm telling him to go to the FRO at 10am that morning ehh......... when he read the letter the Officer was still there so he asked the Officer how he was expected to go to the FRO when the letter arrived 6 hours to late, he was told to go on monday morning.
He did just that only to be told that the matter of his extension is still with the under secretary, the mind just boggles ...........:confused::confused:

Re: Visa stuff

Well, have done my visit to the visa place in Victoria, got a queue ticket on arrival (one for people with an appointment) and waited about 30 minutes. The lady dealt with the 11 applications I took very efficiently although the males forms were incomplete! The question for a Maiden name was not completed. Should have known. I told my friends and family to fill in every question but even I had left that one blank on my husbands! Still, at least they are in the system now and I am very glad I decided not to post them because the proposed postal strike could have been a problem. Had a nice lunch then went shopping in Covent Garden, bought two more christmas presents.
