Wondering if anyone has stayed in Deobag at http://www.saagarsangam.com/aboutus.html, I am planning to head from Goa Thivim to Kudal by train and will probably get a taxi or something which is about 35 km away. Would appreciate any tips and prices for taxis, also what are the chances of finding a local bar or restaurant in the area ?

Hi you might want to look at these mixed reviews on Holiday IQ
http://www.holidayiq.com/Hotel-Sagar...otel-2850.html
Lonely Planet has a paragraph on Malvan and talks about hourly buses from Kudal station to Malvan bus stand (38kms)for 20rps and autorickshaw for 300 rps.
Also states several buses daily from Panjim to Malvan 80 rps (4 hours)

I`ve got friends who live in margao who always head up that way when they need a break from work!!They usually stop over night with me in Siolim en-route as they do it on their Enfield. They don`t go quite as far north as Malvan. It`s apparently one of those places you keep quiet about in fear that it may be spoilt!
