Spent 7 out of the past 14 years in India, mostly Goa.
Lived and wintered much in Asia.
Back in Goa now, in Margao, fighting to get on a bus,
yes my pocket was dipped, 22,000rps, i was in to change some
money.
It could be much worse i know, just never thought it would happen
to me.
I had good pockets on my shorts, etc.
OH WELL shit happens.
Nice to be back, even with the, i almost said savages.
Good luck to everyone.

Steve.
I am surprised at you getting on a Bus in Margoa with that much cash.
Someone must have been watching you changing your money.
Hard luck mate.

10km ride down the back roads to a beach shack - that's more my thing.
An acquaintance who is as tight as cramp had to go to calangute from South Goa, so rather than pay for a cab, him & his OH went on their bike. They got a puncture, he stayed on the bike & rolled it along in 1st gear whilst his OH walked alongside in the heat of the day (true gent!) for 2 miles until they found a garage to repair the flat tyre.
Regards

Father in law pickpocketed on a bus in Rome - £1,000 or so! Of course silly to carry so much money...
Me - pickpocketed on a bus in San Sebastian - all holiday money taken! Had to ask friends to help.
My friend - almost mugged outside a bank in London BUT she got hold of the guy and held him round the neck from behind till the police came!
Rs 20,000 is quite a wodge...did you not feel anything at all? wonder what the MO was?
