I bought cane furniture in Goa, it was expensive and the quality is rubbish, after four years in my flat in Goa, all the nails have rusted and its falling apart, my cane furniture has had very little use I.E. no children, pets etc.

My cheap cane chairs are still going strong, find them very comfortable with the insert cushions.

It depends how close to the beach they are and how exposed to salty sea breezes.
Shacks have them repaired regularly but that could also be due to fat Russians?
Inland a bit they last for ages........

I'm also interested in shipping a lot of personal things from Goa; after spending half my life there, I'm not planning on returning.
I emailed a dozen shipping agents, and none got back to me, except to say they only handle inbound freight.
I've already sold my vehicles and the I left the furniture in the house, but there are photos, clothes, tools, surfgear, and nicknacks I'd like to have back.

Preston; have you actually used them? If so, do you have an email address?
There are lots of companies advertising, but I didn't find any that really handle exports of personal goods.

Another tip: ask any of the shops that use shipping agents to send their goods e.g. the carpet shops, SOTO's, and so on...

I'm not in Goa to ask, and I don't plan to go back anytime soon.
Most people seem to use the post office, but they have a low weight limit and a high tariff.
I would want to send around 100kg if I could get a decent rate on air-freight.

Travel to the Head Post office in Panjim along the road near the river..They are called Aleo Menezes Sons, try and google them. They have offices in Vasco and Panjim. 0091-832-2512755 11-16 vishamber building opp St Josephs Inst Vasco. I delivered all my stuff to the office in Panjim. He handled everything for me.Customs in India etc. If your shipping here though be aware of extra charges because although Menezes will "deal " with the Indian side ! You will have to pay the shipping agents charges here in the UK.Bit of good news is that because its your own personal belongings there is no VAT bunged on by HMCRS.Good luck it takes around 3 months depending where its shipped from.Mumbai or Goa.
