Is Mario's on the Beach Road open, and run by the same people?

also Tony's Place. Casa Sea Shell, Sea Shell, Floyds (real one)

Goanplaces we pay 60rps for Thali at Anand - have one every Sunday and eat there about 3 times a week.
Tony's Place is almost ready for opening, said next couple of days and the others are open.

Hi Noni

Got here on Saturday and had a good tandoori at Angaara. I don't think Mario's is there any more. There's a place called Ocean Beach View or some such that I think may be where Mario's used to be and judging by the boards outside is aimed at the Russians, it was quite busy too.

Sea Shell Inn is definitely open but I don't know about the others as we haven't been much further than beach road yet, too much to do.

Mango Grove closed early last night due to lack of customers.

Thanks Catpat - it does take a week to sort yourself out - just as well the shacks are not open. Will be more Russians as many planes a week are coming in from Russian compared to the 8 from UK.

Any resturant is only as good as the cook, so last years favourite may be
'orrible this year if the cook has gone. See you soon. Noni

Went a bit further afield yesterday so can confirm that both Floyds are open and there is a sign on the main road advertising Tony's so I think they are open. The Bistro opened last night and it's as good as ever.

Brittos Monsoon 2008, and some other photos 2008; N.B. Joseph is no longer Sarpanch at Calangute Panchayat, he stood down, but his 'faction' held the majority in the election of the new Sarpanch which was held earlier this year, 2009, so business as usual then.
