Default Refusal of entry.

Well it's now been 10 month since I left my home in India to return to the UK for a new visa in September.
I found out in November that because of my first overstay of 2 days on my visa in 2015 I was being refused entry this was my first overstay since 1993 and 10 visas.
I have tried everything mailed phoned and even written to the High Commissioner by recorded mail and been for an interview.
I had two officials who were helping me after agreeing it was a genuine mistake at the HC in London one moved department and the second who interviewed me has been on holiday and now is never in his office.
I was told not officially ( but have never been given anything official to inform me of the refusal of entry dates etc) that my ban would be taken off in May, after one year when this date arrived the HC who I had to phone said the rules had changed and they would apply on my behalf to get it lifted.
Of course no news I just wish someone would contact me officially if I am not to be allowed back in so I can start to rebuild my life again.
After the initial overstay I was allowed to leave india and return but can't see how if a refusal was in place.
So if anyone can help with guidelines or information over this I would be extremely grateful as this whole thing has now affected my health and been taken into Hospital three time now over the Stress which had led to complications of an existing complaint.
Thanks everyone. Jonathan

Hello Jonathan, India are very strict about any overstay. What kind of visa did you have?
You might find more advice on the IndiaMike Forum. Where more people post.

Thanks I will try that site and of course I understand they are very strict but after all those Business Visas surely they must have some leway for a genuine mistake or Just tell me I can't go back so I can wind up my company and get rid of my assets survey that is the decent thing to do instead of giving me no information what so ever. Thanks once again.

There is rarely any "leeway" in matters of visas and immigration. If a country starts allowing one "honest mistake", where do they draw the line? Two mistakes, three, ..... ten? ..... More?

Of course I realise but one in 25 years so OK if they don't want to go back, fine just say so will close my business and sell my propertys and go to Portugal or other eastern places, but please tell me from an official source.
I have been told that a private donation of £3000 would ensure the ban would be lifted but knowing India as I do I can't really believe this could be true.
Anyway we will see, if I have to move all well and good there are many other contries who would welcome me with open arms as a retired English business man with a large private income,
I have loved my 20 years in Goa but now time to give in and move On ???? As nearly all my friends have.

Instead of fighting the refusal of entry from india try it from the UK by hiring a lawyer who specialises in emmigration cases and visa problems. There are hundreds here in London who only deal with visa problems and you will not have to deal with the usual backhander culture that you experience in India but as other responders have said it takes time.

We have used Pindoria Solicitors for the children's OCIs etc. London based firm.

Might be worth trying to contact the office of Sushma Swaraj. (External afairs Minister) and explain that you cannot get to your property.
