Check the paperwork yourself and with a good lawyer not recommended by the developer. Check out any future plans in the area and try and ascertain who else is buying as your neighboirs are an important factor. Check who is responsible for the maintenance of the exterior and if there is an association of homeowners who is responsible for that. Check the water, electricity and sewage connections and how they are paid for. Check refuse collection.
Good luck..

Even better Check Out and go home unless you are a PIO or your partner is Indian. If your non of these don't waste your time and money unless your rolling in it and have nothing else to do except throw it away.Tell the developer to stuff the brochure up where the sun never shines and if your still interested in investing in the biggest garbage heap in India then lease somewhere, do not buy.

Why would Nick feel at home in a "s**t hole?
and PJ's post; why would he being of Indian origin like the "biggest garbage heap"?

Reasonable (not in the least bit obnoxious) questions Bipat but as 'retribution' for having the temerity to ask them, I'm sure you can expect to receive another 'personal attack' by the forum's resident freak/crank/weirdo in the non too distant future. . . . . . . . . .

And we won 7-3 last night. As for this Glory Hole of a place we are going to Tamil Nadu on the 8th to explore the possibilities of staying in the Pondicherry area next Winter because the health situation for both of us in Goa has gone beyond what we both consider safe limits. The roads, garbage and of course crime levels have all gone through the roof. The situation regarding the roads here is the stuff of nightmares. Also you have to take into consideration the exhaust pollution and respiratory diseases. Both I and the wife have come down with sinusitis and mild Bronchitis which is a directly connected to the dust thrown up by road works and burning garbage. If Tamil Nadu fails the cleanliness test we intend to look at Tenerife in April because the prices have fallen through the floor and its only 4 hours from London, where we live in the Summer.Realistically its going to take at least 5 years to sort out the polluted landscape, beach and town, that is now modern Goa.50% of friends have come down with health problems associated with air borne dust and exhaust pollution. WE now discuss restaurants to visit not on the value of the food they serve but is the air clean first and what are the other customers like. In Sai the other night had to sit through an argument between an Assamese prostitute and the young Indian man over the price for the night....!

Wouldn't it be easier/quicker just to go down to South Goa? Or even karwar or Murdeshwar? (The latter two as long as you don't need sun beds).
