Perhaps the virus problems reported at the top of the page are due to that irritating bouncing sheep?

Pisses a lot of us off, so maybe has the same effect on Google?

Must agree with you find the bouncing sheep so irritating, click on the little B and it stops.

I think the "bouncing sheep" is being used in respect for the late 'fatbrit' who passed away at such a young age.
The 'rolling eyes' presumably doesn't bother you?

Not as much, but still an irritant.

It's the thoughts and opinions of the sheep's previous owner that irritate them so much.

Glad to see Fatbrit's power lives on.

One person's thoughtful opinion--- another person's "drivel"??

Looking at a different view of a subject and "freedom of speech" (as another poster has said).
Isn't that what discussion is all about)?

Well apparently enough power to make you two splutter still.

He was an extremely helpful poster to a great many people, and a clever, thoughtful man. Whether you agreed with him or not.

Anyway, by all means, back to your papers.

It does seem to be , however the regulars went off topic of their own accord & that subject matter was bound to attract attention.

Yes he was. I can personally vouch for that. I didn't agree with all his posts/views but he was certainly very helpful to me at one point and that free time and effort he made actually aided a family in an enormously difficult position , not of their own making, gain their NZ visa & so go on to build their lives. Not drivel at all.

Fatbrit has passed away and far too soon at such a young age. I see no reason for anyone to be or feel churlish now but then that's just me. I rather see the continuing fuss over Fatbrit's avatar as a side issue here. After all there are so many animated avatars about the place.

If animated avatars are causing 'so many of you' a problem - and I take this to mean across all of BE of course - perhaps raise this in BE Site Feedback .

Personally I think it's been going on too long. I have no feelings pro or con about Fatbrit's participation in the forum (our paths did not cross), but, what bothers me is that it has set a precedent for the future. Actually I can think of one other good contributor (I'm sure there are many many more) who died a year or so ago. I don't remember anyone changing their avatars to his/hers. Why not?

But I guess.
