Re: The follow meeting with CM -BHC

Just to remind everyone that following last months meeting with BHC Vikki Treadell and the Brits in Goa to discuss the property issue. She will be meeting tomorrow with the CM Kamat.I think we need to push for information on this after tomorrow if nothing is in the local rags.
I will be e-mailing her and the Goa wardens who were on BE advertising last months meeting to get some feed back.
Can I suggest we all do the same. There is power in numbers:fingerscrossed:
GC:)

I have e mailed them asking for updates and have had zero response.
I think the least the BHC could do is send out a standard e mail to those who sent their details in, just to keep them informed.

Dread - in waiting (but this is Goa !)

Hi Dread and all,

Playing devils advocate (:frown:) Yes this is Goa, but also the fact we must remember Vicki has got to get her report back to Delhi which, in return has got to get to London who, have then got to decide what ( if any :fingerscrossed:) action to take, so this I feel will be on the diplomatic treadmill for a while, so whilst we are all justifiably angry and upset we must remember that at least now our voices have been heard and acknowledged so lets( if possible )be patient, this only my opinion

Yo KC

Guess that's a good point about the process she has to go through. Let's hope if we try to be patient then the wait will be worth it......:fingerscrossed:
Let's also hope the diplomatic treadmill doesn't run out of power !!

Dread - waiter ! ;);)

Knowing the attitude of so many Indians to the British these days, she's taking a risk driving around in a car with the Union Flag on it, isnt she. It really is telling them which one to throw the bricks at!

Absolutely agree K-C, patience is the key, I am very sure she will deliver as soon as she can! LB

Re: The Meeting

We`re a patient lot, really.
Had there been a positive outcome we`d have heard by now.
I guess Kamat has given one or more stock answers, such as --Soon.I`ll look into it, etc.
Patience runs a bit thin after 10 years of shit.
Regards,
Davie.

We like David i feel have been very patient but when you live here and have no other home elsewhere or extra finances to rely on it becomes very difficult to think about anything else.
Some will say "you made your bed you lie in it now" thats all well and good when you can walk away and still feel financially secure and comfortable in your place of residence many of us cannot do this and get no respite from this problem .
When the season finishes many go back to their first homes and carry on living normal lives (although i understand its always at the back of your mind)
I for one hope the next meeting finds us with more new faces to support the cause and hope people come forward to add their stories as without their support we i feel are well and truely stuffed.
I know there are many more out there that are to scared to speak up, we have all got lots to lose somemore than others and we need the support of everyone that has brought a property here not just the same old faces.
At the end of the day those who remain quiet will lose to so whats the point in keeping quiet
