Can anyone advise? I am flying out from London on Kingifhser to Mumbai and then catching another Kingfisher flight to Goa. I am hoping my luggage will get cheked in through to Goa. Question: Can I buy liquids - perfume or alcohol from duty free and have that in my hand baggage Mumbai to Goa?
Thanks!
Thanks!

You will be able to check your baggage straight thro` but you will have to collect it and go thro customs in Mumbai.... and then hand it in to kingfisher before transferring terminals......between customs and handing over to Kingfisher you could put duty frees into your check in baggage!!

Checking it straight thro at least saves you tranferring your bags from 1terminal to another and then queuing again to check in when you reach the domestic terminal and it gives you the chance to put your duty frees into your check in baggage!

Your luggage comes off the International flight to Mumbai where you can pack any duty free before handing it over to Kingfisher domestic flights. It takes time and thetre is now a very long queue at Immigration. We were there over two hours. You cannot take more than 100ml in a visible plastic envelope of liquids in your hand luggage so its hardly worth it. You can buy plenty of alcohol and perfume in Goa anyway so I shouldnt bother

The Duty Free in Mumbai will also lie to make a sale, telling you it's OK to take bottles in your hand baggage. Don't fall for it!

In the past I have taken an almost empty small case as hand baggage through security in Heathrow, bought boxes of wine and perfume in the duty free, put them in the case then added the case to my checked luggage in Mumbai. I first added hand baggage to the checked luggage in Mumbai when they would not let me take duty free perfume where both bottles were less than 100ml and were sealed in a plastic bag at LHR bag through security for the internal flight. They quite happily accepted the bag at the check in for the internal flight even though I already had checked in for it online while still in the UK so next time I thought I'd do it again with the wine and perfume and again there was no problem so I have now done it quite a few times.
