Mzee, this sort of thing is usually a matter of one's own personal opinion, but there are nicer restaurants (quality of food wise & vfm wise) within close proximity to Martin's corner.

Are you based close to Martin's Corner?

Hi -yes, we are pretty close. If there are nicer restaurants I would be grateful for any suggestions you may have so we can visit next time ..... OH and I are probably too careful about where we eat for fear of delhi belly but will give any recommendations a go !

Hi, small world as we are/will be pretty close too. In the village try 86HD which at 1st looks like a very limited menu but the food is very nice & Ziegfried & Romeo who run it are nice guys - the place is not expensive. In Majorda, try Samhen which is very inexpensive but the food we had was very nice, Further down the road, Pentagon is very good, reasonably priced, the out door setting is lovely & they usually have some entertainment on at night which ranges from reasonable to very good. In between those two is Fusion which is run by a Brazilian chef & his Dutch wife. The food is excellent especially the steaks BUT the prices are high for Goa (about £6.75) for the Steak main courses. I know others but they are further away.

Thank you ! I had heard of Pentagon but wasn't too sure where it was. Small world indeed. We will have to catch up next time we are in Goa. I will definitely give these a go, we love eating out when we are there ! cheers for the suggestions

Agree with you Floorden re Kim Faa.

Sublime has re-opened near Saligao. Had a very good meal there a couple of days ago. Pricier than average if you are looking for a special meal and you like a 'cordon bleu' style of cooking, it's worth a visit.

Ah Goa has p on own chips with us. Took friends today for lunch. Run out of kingfisher large, wanted 45 rups for small. Said we would pay the large price or two - no deal - waited half an hour whilst they argued amongst themselves, then were told they would not reduce price. So we all left - no other people there. The menu has changed and no nice starters. So bye bye
Ah Goa.

Sunday Brunch or Monday - (not quite sure with time difference)
Friends who went to Sunday brunch said it was very quiet.

Talking to friends last night , they tried to do the same with them and they are regulars. Wine 350 didn't have any (sunday brunch) cheapest 900. they are definately going the same way as the Marriott.

Sacked another last night. Lobsterpot - arrived 7.30 ordered 8.30 No meal, everybody else was having their starters, complained, ready madam,!! 8.40 nothing, so we paid for the drinks and left.

Hi folks

For those in Candolim area we ate at TOP NOSH a couple of days ago, which is on the main road not far from The Stone House. The food was fabulous and the service was probably the best Ive seen in Goa.
Prices were reasonable. Toilets very clean as well !
The guy running it is Indra who was one of the managers for East Meets West until last season.
Would certainly recommend this place after trying it.

Also agree with those above re Kim Faa - very nice food. However always very busy !

Dread - happy eating !

Ah Goa.
Made 3 bookings at Ah Goa with reserved tables, each time we were offered different seating.
The last booking was new Years eve 2000 rupees per couple all in, food, drinks and entertainment, within 4 days they increased the price to 2500.
We walked and saved 1000 rupees and had a great night.
Never again here.
