Having been going through old posts and it struck me that beside all the valiant attempts by you good peeps to alert foreign press about our plight:curse sadly it was to very little or no avail
so i thought{and this is my own opinion}that if we could turn any local aggro {re-us} in on itself by making them aware of their govt's policies :curse:and the impact of us bu*****ing off, will greatly reduce jobs, income ,directly effecting their families{which i think most know, that is their weak spot}.So, have written an open letter to the goan observer who ,i found ,generally print volatile stuff against govt, explaining the :curse:goa scenario and state that it's the very peeps they will vote for like Churchill&co who would be directly responsible for goa's demise.
this letter is in my name,{name will not be printed i hope}and does not reflect other peeps opinions
Cheers

Well done with this Chris!
You are in a somewhat unique position to be doing this and I think we all appreciate your efforts.
I can see why you chose the Observer, but it is a bit of a limited readership and the Herald has shown a willingness to print quite critical letters/articles from FNs. After a period of several a week, it seems to have dried up at the moment, so maybe they are ready for some fresh ones?
Also the Observer on-line went over to being a pay-site on 1st of April, so nobody outside of Goa will be able to read your letter unless they pay (which is very unlikely)............oops
Got your PM will move on that in next few days.

Have bought the Goan Observer since its conception and there has been articles printed about our plight - ok not many - but they have been there.
by the way - The Observer was a pay site well before 1st April as they are advertising on their site. Only a few articles have ever been available on line for free.

I have written and had published quite a few letters in the Herald and like you they have changed them.
A couple of months ago I saw the draft of a letter a friend wrote and later had published and quite honestly the way they left things out changed the letter completely. He was furious and wrote and told them so but it was ignored.
