Default Goa in july/august

Hi all we have been visiting Goa for the past 4 years always December or january.
We are coming again in late July earley August to experience the monsoon, we are spending time with the owners of the shack and locals that we have become good friends with. They will not be working so we can spend more leaisure time with them and they will be showing us Goa and further afield plus lots of fishing (of the beach might i add as the sea is to dangerous). The question I'm asking is what clothes and footware will we require as I understand it can be very wet but also hot. We are a family two adults two children and would appreciate any info.

Many Thanks
Den

Same as you would wear in Dec/Jan - perhaps more plastic footwear (flipflops/sandals) rather than leather ones. Umbrellas & plastic macs readily available here during the monsoon months. Don't forget that clothes take a lot longer to dry during the monsoon, especially towels. But do come & enjoy a totally different, more peaceful Goa.

Do NOT venture into the sea, even in a fishing boat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cheers Iain

hahahaha - I like that

& a strong scrubbing brush to get rid of the always-present ingrained red dust on the soles of your feet!!

Still, it's worth it.....................
