Default Goa........

Posted: Fri May 18, 2007 6:09 pm Post subject: Goa

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hiya people,

I have some plans. However, the first one is to go to Goa for 6 months to work with a charity (Volunteer work.) You we see Dubai I am not too sure about - for now anyway!

I then plan to come back to the UK and study a degree at Uni.

I would like to know how much I should budget for 6 months in Goa?

Ideally, I would like to rent an apartment for the 6 months in the Calangute/Baga/Candolim area...which is near the charity. I have seen 3000 to 9000 Rupees per month.

I am thinking of 20000 Rupees per month? Including rent, utilities, shopping and leisure...does this sound ok?

Can anyone indicate the normal total utility bill amount?

I will use this time to develop interpersonal skills, see places like Mumbai, Chennai, Delhi...which I will not include in my monthly costs!

I find India amazing and look forward to doing such a thing.

Thank you in advance for your help!!

Most likely November onwards. However, anytime as long as the 6 months end before August 2008 in time for me starting uni!
