Travelpack and others have deals to go for next week, the week after and I think 6th December £299 for one week BB and £345 for two weeks. How do they think people are going to get visa's intime. #
Don't the Indian Government realise that all these empty seats could be filled if they used their heads.

[QUOTE=hemingway;6928315]That's as maybe, but if their standards are as high as the article in today's Herald suggests, they might be a bit disappointed. . . . . . . . . . . .

£245 now for two weeks b & B. but people cannot get the visa's intime.
Locals now getting worried about their trade, although it is early in the season. It seems a lot were expecting more tourists, and have been making their shops, resturants bigger and better, spending I think money which they will not recuperate, at least this season

Dear All
I keep seeing references to "not being able to get visas in time"
See my post in "Indian Visa - Outsourcing Begins!"
I know this involved going in person, twice, but at these bargain prices is it not worth the effort?

I'm getting text messages from Indian travel firms offering the lowest hotel prices in Goa for 10 years (from Rs. 999/- a night for a starred hotel)

All very nice if you have endless amounts of holiday or are retired. For those of us still tied to the 9-5 its a choker when you have paid twice as much for your measly 2 week break and had the hassel and added expense (another £9.50 admin charge) of getting a visa. We are beginning to think this may well be our last year especially when you can go to other destinations that want us and our riff-raff £'s.
