The diffrence is they can't do anything about Indians moving to Goa form other states where they can do what they like with us becuase we have no one to go for advice or a Government with any balls that will step in and help
Seems to me that some Goans and their govt want to have their cake and eat it. They want to be able to go and live/work/settle/buy homes or whatever in whatever country they want, but want to keep the rest of the world from their own doorstep.
A form of tyranny if ever there was !

Goa set to implement anti-tobacco laws in beach shacks www.goanvoice.org.uk

1) WOULD BE GOOD IF THEY ERECTED THE SHACKS.

2) Will anybody take any notice!

2 Oct: Times of India. The Goa Coastal Zone Management Authority (GCZMA) on Thursday almost unanimously rejected the proposal to increase the number of beach shacks from last year’s 305 to 437* as demanded by shack owners all over Goa…

*Good job and all.. the way things are going we may have all had a shack each !

Goa: The Trash Heap Kids see www.goanvoice.org.uk

Two million slum children die every year as India booms
www.goanvoice.org.uk.

Both these stories have been in UK Sunday papers.
One the News of the World, and the other Observer.

What message does it put out to people who are looking at Goa for
a holiday destination?

Noni please will you put the URL of the piece instead of Goanvoice website as it takes me ages to find it due to the slowness of this dreadful internet service here.
e.g. 2 million slum children etc so I have to go to Goan Voice - find the piece then down load it - by this time sometimes I have forgotten what I was going there for. Early in the morning it is ok but now it is really bad.
Honestly this has taken 5 minutes to find- going with BNSL next week if T will fork out 5 and a half thousand rupees - chance would be a fine thing
