AsTO POLICE --In London today their are 30000 policemen preventing citizens and tourists from going about their lawful business -- they are preventing lawful protesters from protesting , except in designated areas , I have witnessed force via the metal cane being used , to make people go where the police want them to go .
As to legally purchased properties --- Indian law is quite clear on this matter ,
although I sympathise with YOU - and am indeed on here to try and help you in your plight -- I think that certain acceptances of facts must be tolerated by both sides of the coin --- Indian Law is the Law as regards any property matters --- Indian Law however WAS interpreted in an Illegal manner by people who took an oath 2 uphold the Law of India ( which u have legally entitled rights of recourse)
It is my understanding that , a consensus of opinion now exists within the govt of Goa --- that maybe their is an avenue that could be explored , as regards retirees in Goa of all nationalities , extreme pressure has been applied on Dehli , by mainly , Russia -- who threatened to withdraw milatary supplies and the UK , who , stated that FDI and Visa quotas , was a 2 way street , but in the meantime the UK would, turn a nelsons and not subject Indian citizens to any punitary measures .
I would urge You not to give in, not when although you cannot see it , but a , little victory is in sight ---- VJM , owns Kingfisher --- and he has 25000 air seats at stake --- he is a reasonable man -- also powerful . Mickey also needs your support -- talk to him , help him , so that he can help you

Im afraid it is a little late for the theme parks etc,I would say your infrastructure is your first priority.Daff is right.The working class Goan will not benefit from 5 star tourism,they don't eat in shacks use taxis or shop locally.With regards to our Government helping we all know this isn't going to happen,neither is your Government going to help us.I have been down both routes and exhausted it,One of your Government ministers who was approached on our behalf was not interested only if there was 10 lakh in it for him

All who are buying property in Goa are the very migrants as the Goan call them, the very people they say they don't want in the state.My love affair with Goa is over after 20 years of loyalty.Where did it get me? I have ended up loosing my sanity my hard earned saving and will probably have to work till I am 80yrs of age before I can retire and will end up a bitter and twisted old person . Where is Goa's loyalty to us.

What's more people were warned all week via all the media outlets not to go to London this week. Didn't see too many police with metal canes beating the c**p out of people at the Notting Hill carnival last year. They probably lifted a few drug pushers but good luck to them. That's something else that Goa has consistently failed to get to grips with If you think that the likes of VJM are going to help us when even our own government won't, then you are either in cloud cuckoo land or you are an alien. This was in the Sunday Times news paper for the last two weeks the Times have published articles about Goa,this isn't going to do tourism any good what so ever,this combined with the threat of more terrorism attacks will finish Goa with regards to UK tourism

Bagaboy, welcome to the site, all points of view are appreciated, although you must be living in cloud coo coo land if you think VJ can help us when his own garden is being eroded by the River Princess which is been outside his villa for near 10 years. Who is going to speak to Mickey, we have enough problems, not being able to sell our Villa without speaking out and having our visa's withdrawn. Deeds Registered, Director of Environment inquiry, and being invited to appear before the D of E what a wonderful season.
The local people have no idea what the foreigners are going through, but they are now asking why not so many people are coming to Goa. They had no idea the property and visa issue.
Next year it is going to be even worse, but then they will blame the credit crunch, Mumbai bombings anything except, the service
and harassment foreigner are having

I have signed up to a few on line petitions to the prime minister, is it worth trying this to try and get some help from our government? I have no idea how to get one set up but someone reading this may know how to go about it. Alternatively we could get together, set up a bank, loose loads of someone else's money and then our government would take notice and help!

(e.g. their mob assault on Panjim police station, the Talegao riot, taking bribes from Russians in order to facilitate illegal land conversions in Pernem).
Surely, a more rigorous vetting procedure by HM Government is required so as to disallow the entry of such undesirables to the UK, and to protect UK citizens?

totally agree with everything, we have done nothing wrong but be law abidding citizens whilst living in India and we are being treated like common criminals let every single paper know what is happening in the uk and see what media attention we get !!!!
