Heard a sorry story yesterday, not that we havent heard it all before of course, Young russian woman got involved with an indian guy, turned out to be a nasty guy, her visa expired and she hadnt got enough money to return home so she decided to go to an advocate for advise, not knowing the visa regulations at all she was given a letter from the advocate that basically was worth no more than a piece of toilet paper, saying she had a month extension on her visa, being very gulliable ad stupid thought this was acceptable and paid him Rs18.000 .....

They may be the main protaganists in all of this, but it is counter productive to continue using their names. Lewis Belworth has a list of the many advocates, C/ACCs, builders etc that have been well paid for their bad advice( presumably all taxes both local and governmental submitted and paid ?) This list will be used in evidence to the goan gov against these people when the day of reckoning comes

The FCO last year sent out a list of local? lawyers to contact for assistance in property matters and for those that didn't see the list there was not one Goan lawyer/advocate mentioned
Thank you

Another sad story - whilst on the subject of advocates might I be so bold as to ask ALL of you from to refrain from using the names of the 2 advocates so often mentioned ?
