Thanks for the info. I hope all goes well with your application and that this was just a blip. I look forward to hearing about your experiences with the application.

Hi Bandarjoti
Just checked my online status with the HCI dual nationality website and it has been granted by Delhi, London's still waiting for the return of the paperwork and certificate. So it wasn't as painful as I thought it would be.
Good luck with your application.
Cheers

Hi Amar

Thanks for the update. It seems to have been a fairly quick and painless process.

[QUOTE=crowfieldpat;3733572]Hi,
I just wondered if there is anyone out there currently buying or has bought on Danika Residency, Colva. A group of us are getting a good neighbours group together, to co-ordinate up to date info and to give each other feedback on progress when we are visiting Goa. Please send me a private message with your contact details.[

Hi there Pat,
I was just wondering if you're still on this forum? I'm interested in your experiences of Danika REsidency.

Hi Amar,
Did you have a pio card before applying for oci or did you go straight for the oci?

I have a pio card and i am thinking of upgrading to oci, but i still have 11 years left on my pio card so im not sure if its worthwhile at this point.

Regards,
Remy

Hi Remy
No I was a British Passport holder, for the last 40 plus years. I had 5 year Visa which expires this year so I applied for the OCI which was quite a simple process, and got my Dual Citizenship.
It shouldn't make any different to you being an NRI with a PIO card to get registered, you will be wasting money if uou went ahead for an OCI at this stage. Wait till it's ready to expire, then go for it.
Cheers
Amar
