Also looking for a scooter to hire, as new as possible. While these are ten a penny in season, does anyone know anyone reliable that could help when I arrive?

i know a very nice goan guy, all paper work in order, also one of the cheapest, he takes the scooters and services them regularly, he lives in candolim and is very obliging he will bring bike to you, pm me if you want anything sorting or his telephone number

[QUOTE=martin_d;7874216]Hi all, hope you can help. I'm heading out end of September to North Goa and wondered what bars and restaurants people can recommend that will be open.
Hi
Why Not
Rustlers
Molly Malones
Helens Bar, Xroads in Nerul
There is a small Burger place open next to The Spice Garden in Candolim
Sweet Chilli
Butter
Brightsides
Infanteria
They were all saying that Beach Road in Candolim was going to be open on 1st Sept but it hasn't happened. Surprise surprise.
There are quite a lot of places open, but I would not necessarily recommend the food in some.
Regards
Tony P
