Good Friday
Following on from an Italy thread, I believe that Good Friday is a public holiday in predominantly Protestant Länder, but not in Catholic ones. Am I right? (Just as a matter of interest, as Catholic France and Italy consider today as a normal working day and Protestant UK "celebrates" Good Friday, and I know that Protestant Swiss Cantons do too.)

Re: Good Friday
Here in Bavaria, Good Friday is probably the most important Catholic holiday of all. Everything is shut.
