Default Can I use my UK electric appliances in Germany?

Hello,
planning my move to Germany. I wonder if I can take all my electric appliances, e.g. instapot, toaster, TV to Germany. Germany apprantly runs on 220 volt, UK on 230 volt. It's a small difference.
But I am not sure if that would rack the fuses?

Yes your appliances will be ok.
For info: The voltage used throughout Europe (including the UK) has been harmonised since January 2003 at a nominal 230v 50 Hz (formerly 240V in UK, 220V in the rest of Europe).
You will however need to change the electrical plugs, or use an adapter from the flat prongs to rounded prongs.

Agreed, to which I would add these are "nominal" voltages, and the voltages are allowed, and actually do, vary during the day and over time, and electrical appliances and equipment are invariably capable of working just fine on voltages that vary, within permitted margins, from the nominal 230v.

We just bought a load of plugs of the EU type in England, places like Wilko, at the time, stocked them but I suppose other main DIY places will, then when we got over there is was just a simple case of changing the plug, our friges etc were built in in the UK so were are first purchase in Spain.

FWIW, when I go to England, I take a universal adapter to recharge my French mobile.

I moved in 2011 and still have UK plugs on some items. My rule of thumb is that anything with a 13 amp fuse should have a new plug fitted rather than use an adapter. That means things like washing machine, tumble dryer, kettle, toaster and dishwasher.
