Anyone in Germany?
I have moved to near Celle in northern Germany with my man and two kids. Would be interested to hear from others who have done the same. We're still finding our way slowly and trying not to scarper home when the going gets tough! :scared:

Anyone in Germany?
Hi Laura,
Well we've been here nearly 5 months now and I have mixed feelings really. We have rented a nice house in a wee village 14 Km from Celle. countryside is flat but lush and green. All very pleasant. Unfortunately we're not happy with the school my 5, nearly 6 year old goes to. It seems very spartan and old fashioned. They are not very positive about her being there, though they accepted her! now its just too much like hard work I think for the teacher to have to help a non german speaking girl. The whole education system seems crap to me after Scotland, so we are enquiring about putting her into the British Military School in Celle so at least she won't fall behind.Though it will be expensive! The german school want to put her in Kindergarten, but she has done a year in school at home and is bored! holding her back for effectively 2 years is not on as she's a bright kid. SO! Can't say I 'm mad about life here right now. It seems a bit behind the times and some of the germans are very cold to say the least. How long have you been here and do you like it?
Thanks for your reply!
