Absolutely, but it can be a win-win for both employer and employee. They are not perfect but the majority of those employed on zero hour contracts are happy with them and happier than the salaried employees with their work-life balance. There's a lot political rhetoric surrounding them that isn't borne out by the facts.

After reading them all and doing various research myself i've realised that there are a lot of factors I didn't even consider.
I would still like to go down the SS route but I also don't want to be away from my spouse for too long, i'm sure this is the same dilemma for many.
For now i'll keep doing some research
