Hi all,

Would I be mad to travel for four weeks by campervan through France during August? There is a small chance that it could be September but it may involve seriously annoying my boss. Any help would be appreciated as must put in request to work asap.

Most people seem to be on holiday in August so you should be fine if you stick to the typical French holidaying spots ie beautiful countryside/coastal areas. Paris is pretty quiet except for the main tourist attractions so I wouldn't expect too much from the large cities.

You may not want to drive through France on 1st August or during the first weekend, nor during the last weekend of that month. Everyone is on the way to the "Route du Soleil" or returning North at the end of the month. Any other time should be OK.
