Toulouse - Levignac
Hi everyone
I have just moved to Toulouse (like this week) and was looking for some advice.
We are currently renting a house in Levignac but had planned to move closer to the city. He problem is we really, really love our house here and can’t find anywhere else as nice. Does anyone have any experience of levignac? We are a young couple - both have cars, like going for drinks, hiking, playing sports, don’t mind public transport or paying a bit for taxis?
Just want to make sure this isn’t TOO out the way!

Welcome to the forum.
Not too sure what you wish to hear about Levignac. I good walk + drive around one weekend should give you an idea of what's available, restaurants, bars, stores etc, and the Mairie should be able to fill you in with the rest.
I do happen to know it's rich in French history, associated with Louis XV and Madame du Barry.
If you dislike somewhat sleepy, pleasant, unpolluted small towns such as Levignac, and wish for a more dynamic place, you may wish to try Colomiers or Blagnac - but personaly I wouldn't advise it. Having lived in both the latter, imho you are much better off in Levignac, especially if you really like the house you are renting. But it's very much a personal choice.
We were very happy in Blagnac and also Tournefuille for a number of years, but unless I'm mistaken, property in those locations would be higher.
Others may suggest Pibrac - aka PibracShire (you're not far away), and whilst others feel they have to be surrounded by other Brits, that to me would be a nightmare, as it's no longer the 'real' France. And once you start to immerse yourself in the real France, the language will improve in leaps and bounds.
Good luck wherever you end up.

I know Levignac really, really well but it's dead after 7.30pm most nights.
Great for families...how come you ended up there?
Look in Lardennes? You'll be looking for an apartment rather than a house but at least you'll be nearer lively stuff.
