Default Top up Mutuelle

Hi all.

Any recommendations for a Mutelle for a family of two adults and 1 infant with another baby due in December!

I have been looking at la banque postale and will book an appointment. Anyone have one through them?

Would the price be from about €75 per month for a basic cover, no dental or glasses cover?

Cheers as always

Why would you not have Dental and Glasses cover, The dental can pay for it's self in one visit to a dentist.

Have a look at Uni Sante Prevoyance. We use them through work...not sureif it just becuase "it's France", but they can be slow at making payments to pharmacies etc, but they are quite good.

We found http://www.amaguiz.com to be reasonable. Amaguiz is an online only mutelle that has been good for us.

You may like to set up a disposable e-mail address when gathering quotes from the various mutelle web sites. These sites tend to send a lot of chasing junk email. Services like mailinator can help.

Thanks for the link but looking at it yesterday we discovered that it would cost us €250 a year more than out present deal with Swiss Life - with good cover. It should be remembered that loyalty discounts can reduce the cost a lot, especially for those of us over 60's and for young families.

I seem to recall, from when I was looking round, that your premium when you join up is based on your age, and is fixed for as long as you keep the policy. Which is a clever way of keeping customers, because once you have moved up to the next age band, say 56-64, it is unlikely that you will a quote to beat the rate you are currently paying that you obtained when you were in the 46-55 band or less.

Absolutely, so if you can get in there at a good rate it seems to be worth sticking with your original choice. So shop around before you commit and take on the extras too because adding them on later will not be cheap.

Plus each member of the family can be on slightly different policies depend on what level of repayment is need for each. A ceramic crown can set you back 1400 euros of which Cpam dont pay so much plus most companies have a ceiling on the dental treatment cost per year and the more you pay per month the higher the ceiling.
