I hope I'm in the right place to get some help! I'm hoping to spend 3-5 months in lille over the summer. I'm a research student, so will be spending most of my time in archives.
What is the best way to find a flat for such a short period? Or is there a cheap(ish) alternative? The idea of that long in a hotel is scary!
Also my boyfriend, who speaks littel french, will be coming with me, any suggestions on how he could earn a bit of money or at least keep himself amused?

I know I'm a bit late on noticing this one, but living a stone's throw from Lille, if there's anything I can do to help; just let me know. In any case, you've chosen one of the most happening places to be over the summer. Only kidding, the place is EMPTY in the summer months even if the weather is actually quite good.

Take your pushbikes as there are lots of cycle ways (saves a fortune too) as for the boyfriend, let him just chill
