Default solar water heating

I am looking to find someone with knowledge/expertise on sustainable energy for domestic use. Preferably solar, but wind maybe too. Also does anyone know if the government offer any grants or subsidys to peole ot install this? Any information would be gratefully received.

It go's as....If you install a new wood fired central heating system you will get a 50% return from the credit du impots ie the tax man we have just installed one and are happy this year waiting for the tax return to come. This also applies to Solar Converters. I could not comment on wind energy solutions i have not seen any paper work or adverts to suggest this you also have to remeber that France likes its large nuclear status of play.

To qualify for the rebate on your tax. The installation must be done by an approved and qualified engineer - you can not fit any of these yourself and then ask for a rebate!!!

We've had dual solar/oil heating system put in and its excellent. only used 1000 litres of oil this year thanks to the solar. It is a Buderus system - you can find them on the net. We did not get tax back because we do not pay tax in France during our first year here.

Hi

You are eligable to have grants from the govenment, but you are also eligable to have grants from the region -conseil régional. For this, you normally have to be QUALISOL, (like me ). All in all you should expect 50% tax back but they dont give you tax back on the labor (main d'oeuvre)
